Download
Buildtool is available in source code form and through binary packages. If you plan to do development, the preferred method to install it is from the source tarball, as you may eventually need to look at the code and/or do minor fixes. Even though, as end users will need it too, several binary packages are provided for different platforms. Note that binary packages may be out of date, so be sure to get the right version.

The latest Buildtool version is 0.16. It was released on 4th July, 2004. You can:

Binary packages
- Debian packages are available in the unstable distribution thanks to Bartosz Fenski.
- FreeBSD contains a Buildtool package in its package system (ports/devel/buildtool).
- NetBSD contains a Buildtool package in its package system (pkgsrc/devel/buildtool).
- RedHat Linux RPMs and Source RPMs are available thanks to Doug Henry.
- Suse Linux RPMs and Source RPMs are available thanks to Pascal Bleser.
